Handcrafted in Montgomery, Alabama by John Fricks
How ordering works

From your idea to the workbench.

You do not need woodworking knowledge or a finalized design. Bring the room, the practical needs, and the direction you like; John will help work through the rest.

Tell John about the project

Share the project type, approximate dimensions, seating needs, location, and any style or wood preferences. Inspiration photos are useful.

Work through the details

John will discuss the desired size, style, wood, finish, and other choices that affect the design and quote.

Review your quote

Once the project is clearly defined, John provides a quote based on its materials, size, construction, and finish.

Secure the project

A 50% deposit secures the project. Final timing and any remaining logistics are confirmed directly with John.

Your piece is handcrafted

John builds and finishes the piece in his Montgomery shop, one custom project at a time.

A note about inspiration photographs: Handmade custom work can be guided by a reference image, but it cannot be an exact reproduction. Natural wood variation, proportions, available materials, and hand-shaped details make every piece individual.
